Hi, my name is Guidione Machava, but you can call me Guid 🙂

I am originally from Mozambique and am currently a Senior Product Designer at Shopify, based in France. With 8+ years of work experience, I have worked across various industries and sectors, having collaborated as a consultant for clients such as the World Bank, Coca-Cola, and Pfizer, as well as startups in the developer tooling space.

I hold a degree in Economics from St. Thomas University in Mozambique and am a college dropout from an Honours in Interaction Design program at Open Window in South Africa.

I am passionate about helping designers in the early stages of their careers succeed. As the author of “Design Sutra,” a book that provides valuable design principles for these emerging professionals, and the founder of the World-class Designer School, a place where aspiring designers can go to learn and grow.
